Being a writer or author can be a lonely career path. With the rise of Indie publishing in the last 5-7 years, there are so many more of us now than there used to be! We need community and support to thrive, just like any other career.
About Me
Who am I? I’m Mandy Luck, a seasoned, professional COO, with a decade in Online Business Management. Oh, and I’m a self-published author too!
I intimately know the ins and outs of what it takes to run a successful online business, and have worked inside over a dozen teams in the last ten years.
All of my clients have published at least one book (many of them more than one!) either as an Indie, with a hybrid publisher, a small press, or a big 6 publisher. I’ve been involved in every one of these projects and know the ins and outs of the writing, revising, and publishing process on every front.
I have created a series of tools to help streamline operations for entrepreneurs & writers. And now I want to bring us all together, in community, to help more authors become successful and satisfied with their writing career.
My ultimate goal for this community: Help as many authors as possible to reach their goals, create (or strengthen) a profitable business as an author, and create and share wealth.

What sort of support can I expect within the Circle?
There are two main reasons I created the Phoenix Author Circle:
- To help authors establish better foundational business practices, to grow their income & readership, and further publishing opportunities
- To gather like-minded writers together in a supportive nad uplifting community
The curriculum of the Circle encompasses all aspects of running an author/writing business, including (but not limited to): Creating and managing a wesbite, creating and managing an email list, publishing, querying, writing and publishing tools, marketing strategy, advertising, social media.
We will also meet once or twice a month on a Zoom call for Q&A, 1:1 support, and connection.
And, we offer a 24/7 community forum to connect with other authors, ask questions, and celebrate big wins.

I'm already a published author. How will this Circle help me?
Whether your are just starting out, have published one book (or 10!), or are a seasoned author, this Circle can help you to better optomize your business practices, streamline your marketing initiatives, and sell more books.
We’ll dive deep into marketing strategy, social media (that doesn’t give you hives!), and advertising.
And, my hope is that connecting with other authors, in a generous and supportive community, will alone be worth the monthly fee.
How much does it cost to join the Circle?
Founders on our email list will join for $47/mo.
The price will increase to $97/mo in the near future.
What is your Refund/Cancellation Policy?
You can cancel your membership at any time (I hope you won’t though!)
We do not offer refunds for the month you have paid for, since you will be receiving access to the full curriculum straight away.
I don't know if this Circle is right for me at this time. Can I talk to you about it?

Is this a writing circle?
Nope! While I think discussions about writing and craft, writing book recommendations, and maybe even writing group recommendations will come up in our time together, our primary focus is on business foundations, marketing, advertising, and supporting one another in our author journeys.
What if I can't afford the circle?
I will be extending a few scholarship seats in our circle per quarter. You can apply for those seats here.
What is your stance on Generative AI?
We hate it! Okay, maybe that’s too simple of an explanation.
We believe that generative AI has stolen from countless creators, and therefore using AI to write, or design ANYTHING is tantamount to theft/plaigerism.
Also it’s terrible for the environment, is wholly unnecessary, and shouldn’t exist.
Unlike the Barnes & Noble CEO, AI ‘authors’ (and I use that term SO VERY LOOSELY) are not welcome in our circle.
