There are dozens of Email Service providers & CRM programs out there, but in my not-so-humble-opinion-because-I’ve-tried-all-of-them, Mailchimp is the best.
Spoiler: It’s because it is simple, reasonably inexpensive to get started with, and versatile.
I’m certain if you’ve been working online for a while, you know about Mailchimp. It’s one of the oldest and most well-known ESPs out there, and yes, I use it in my own business, a number of my client’s businesses, and it is still my #1 recommendation for emerging and small-scale businesses.
You can get started for free. Yep, that’s right, FREE. While you’ll need to upgrade to do things like set up delivery automations, you can start a newsletter list of up to 500 contacts for free.
And, it’s only $16/mo to move up to the essentials plan an deliver automated email sequences.
On top of the very reasonable pricing structure, my experiences with Mailchimp support have been wonderful, their email builder is simple and intuitive, and their reporting and analytics are easy to interpret.
That’s it! If you are looking to start a newsletter list, Mailchimp is my recommendation, hands-down.
